Nana Appiah is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and the visionary founder of the Ohemmaa Palace Foundation (OHP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting women and creating opportunities for leadership, growth, and community engagement. Nana’s journey began at the age of 18 when she established OHP, driven by a desire to foster a supportive network for young women and create spaces where their voices are heard and celebrated. Now, at the age of 22, she leads a team of 15 empowered women, both in and out of college, as they work together to expand OHP's reach and impact.

Under Nana's leadership, Ohemmaa Palace Foundation has grown from its humble beginnings to become a dynamic organization with a collegiate chapter at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Through this chapter and various global initiatives, Nana has fostered a culture of leadership and empowerment, inspiring young women to embrace their inner queens and realize their full potential. Her vision has always been to build a global movement of women united in the belief that "in every woman, there is a queen"—a mantra captured in OHP’s slogan, #iewtiaq.

Nana’s dedication to creating positive social change extends beyond OHP. She has spearheaded numerous initiatives in partnership with various organizations, focusing on community outreach, education, and sustainability. Whether working with local shelters, promoting literacy programs, or advocating for women's health in Ghana, Nana’s leadership exemplifies her commitment to making a lasting difference. Her work continues to inspire many young women, motivating them to pursue leadership roles and contribute to their communities. With plans to establish more collegiate chapters and continue generating global change, Nana Appiah is at the forefront of a movement that champions the power of women.
